Madrid's authentic 18th century architectural past comes alive amid minimalistic touch, dark wood, polished finishes and hues of brown and white. Cuento is a tale of history. The building has been reconstructed multiple times during the last three centuries with many architectural details have been kept from the 18th century. Although a modernisation inside the property, Cuento is in perfect harmony with existing historic elements.

Cuento is located in the famous Literary quarter, which was home to some of the most famous Spanish writers of the 17th century. This area is popular with tourists and locals alike, due to the numerous museums in its vicinity and a wide choice of restaurants, cafes, bars, chic bistros and small boutiques that line the streets of Huertas. Within a couple of minutes walking distance, you will find some of the oldest and most famous monuments of the city, such as the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Bank of Spain, the palace of the Cibeles and the Royal Palace of Madrid.
